The Edition 1920 lace collection explores the revival of authentic vintage lace sourced piece by piece in Bruges, a city historically regarded as one of the homes of European lace craftsmanship.
The Lace
All our lace comes from upcycled vintage pieces, dating from the 1920's and before.
The craft behind these pieces is becoming increasingly rare. To the left is a glimpse into this remarkable heritage technique that survives today through the hands of only a few dedicated artisans.
The Dye
Each coloured piece is carefully hand-dyed to achieve a consistent shade across the collection. As every lace is unique, subtle variations may occur.
They are part of what makes each Bobbin piece one of a kind.
The Hands
We proudly work with local seamstresses, whose expertise brings together the delicate pieces of vintage lace by hand.
The Detail
Each lace headpiece is finished with two natural wooden beads, delicately engraved with the OOI logo.
A playful finishing touch that brings a hint of whimsy to each piece.
